"Castle" Season 6 looks like will get its 'Castlistic' humour back in the third episode, "Need to Know." The first two episodes of the new season were a little drab on the humour front as Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) were separated after an impromptu engagement and then Castle was on 'you've got only 24 hours to live' notice.

The preview and sneak peek of "Need to Know" suggest that Castle is back to being his good, old self and is back at 12th precinct. Captain Gates (Penny Johnson Jerald) is back, too. She does not look glad that Castle is still lurking around.

In the sneak peek: Gates spots Castle and asks, "Mr Castle, what are you doing here." Castle is shocked to see Gates as he thought she was at the conference. Gates came a day early from the conference and Castle was checking on her to know when she is coming back.

According to the sneak peek, Gates figures out that Castle has got himself onboard on a new case, and Esposito (Jon Huertas) and Ryan (Seamus Dever) have allowed that. Gates can be heard telling Castle that he is not in NYPD and that it is their murder case.

Fed agents Beckett and McCord (Lisa Edelstein) arrive to inform Gates and the rest that it is no longer NYPD's case. Castle is surprised to see Beckett and brightens-up like a bright bulb. Beckett tells Ryan and Esposito that they will be reporting to them.

Staying true to their character of Fed agents, Beckett and McCord refuses to divulge why attorney general office is involved in the case, Gates finds problem with that. But, it is Fed's case now and nothing much can be done.

It is back to the conference room at 12th precinct, Castle's quips and his interference. Humour is back on "Castle."
