"Castle" RECAP of "A Murder is Forever": Alice Clark is the relationship guru of the rich and the famous and it is her murder that Beckett, Castle and the NYPD team investigate in episode 8 of "Castle" Season 6.

Before Beckett receives the call about the murder, she is asking Castle to move the Lion on the bedroom's wall to another room. Beckett is unable to sleep because she feels the Lion is staring at her, keeping her alert. Castle tells her that that the Lion is part of his identity and she cannot get rid of that.

Alice's body was found in her car. Her car and her office have been turned upside down. The security camera is able to capture the side face of a man. He turns out to be a famous fixer: Barrett Hawke. There is no real evidence against him to keep him for long in the interrogation room.

Alice's boyfriend is also interrogated and he tells Beckett that his girl-friend kept her clients' information discreet. However, the other day, she had talked about a pissed client. The NYPD team also discover that Alice had paid 50 grand in cash for a chartered flight to take her to an unknown destination. From her assistance, Esposito gets to know that there is a client's file missing.

The missing client file takes Beckett and Castle to a hotel and real estate baron. He tells Castle and Beckett that Alice gave the file to him and he neither stole nor killed Alice. He also tells them that Alice had asked him to book a room in his hotel for her. Investigating the room, Castle and Beckett find a huge diamond.

Ryan and Esposito take it to an expert who tells them that the diamond in their possession has no history and no one has reported that it is missing or has brought it in the country. The expert says that the diamond is worth 60 million dollars. Later, he informs them that the diamond is flawless, man-made and priceless.

While returning from the expert's laboratory, Ryan and Esposito are attacked by men wearing clown masks. They are able to save themselves. Hawke is again brought for another round of interrogation. Off the record, he tells Beckett that he was hired to find the missing diamond and did not kill Alice. He was hired by tech entrepreneur, Steve Warner and his wife, Janet.

At the end, it turns out that Steve Warner is the creator of the man-made diamond. Alice stole the diamond so that she and her boyfriend can stop the bloody carnage unleashed by diamond cartels in Africa. Janet is the one who killed Alice. If Alice and her boy-friend had succeeded in bringing the focus on the man-made, flawless diamond, Steve would have been the target of diamond cartels and also he would have lost on his exclusive, private diamond trade.
