Castle Season 5 continues to explore the yet-to-be officially revealed relationship of Rick Castle and Kate Beckett. But when the series comes back on Monday, one of their own will be in handcuffs.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers that you might not want to read.

From the sneak peek released by ABC, it looks like Castle is in deep trouble. Beckett is unable to help -- yet.

Apparently, a jewelry linked to Castle is found in a murdered scene. Beckett's team decides to look in Castle's finances and confirms he drew the same amount of money the day the jewelry was bought. They get a warrant and knock on Castle's door.

Castle, in his playful element, opens the door and jokes he may have forgotten he's throwing a party. Esposito tells him no one is kidding. Beckett, visibly restless, looks away.

If you've been watching TV series a long time, and if you know Rick Castle well enough, you'd say he couldn't possibly have murdered anyone. But what's going on here? A mistake, or a frame up?

Already, Castle has that look on his face that asks Beckett, "Don't you trust me?"

What makes this upcoming episode even more interesting is that in Episode 4, Ryan has accidentally found out that Castle and Beckett were together for a weekend getaway. How will he support his friends in this crisis?

More Castle spoilers: 'Meet the Parents' happening soon

In what seems to be a peace offering (to Castle fans) following an anxiety-riddled episode, Castle writers have come up with a light and fun episode involving Castle's mother and Beckett's father.

Remember the time when Beckett's then-doctor-boyfriend hit Castle in the hospital? The doc blamed Castle for the bullet that got into Beckett's chest. Castle's mother was there. Beckett's father was there, too. Well, this could potentially play out the next time the two parents meet. Soon!

Castle S5x05 is called "Probable Cause." It will air on U.S. television via ABC on October 29.
