Castle Season 5 finale is expected to be more dramatic than "Still," in which Beckett's and Castle's lives were put at great risk by a bomb. Series creator Andrew Marlowe has previously warned viewers the finale will be a very emotional one for the couple. Many fans fear a break-up looming on the horizon. In the last episode, Beckett deliberately withheld some important information from Castle. Is she being unfair to him?

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains spoilers for those who have not seen Castle Season 5, Episodes 23-24, "Still" and "The Human Factor." Read at your own risk.

Castle Season 5 Finale: Stana Katic (Kate Beckett) tweets a peek at the script (Stana Katic/Twitter)

Earlier in Castle Season 5, Beckett had a chance to ask Alexis' mom why things didn't work out between her and Castle. Meredith told her Castle was a little too secretive about his feelings. She did feel like she was married to a stranger. This must have been replaying over and over in Beckett's mind. She's certain Castle would die for her (as seen in "Still"). But will he fully commit to an open, grown-up relationship in which she wouldn't feel like she has no idea what's going on?

For his part, Castle has no intention to leave Beckett hanging. But he's in no rush, either. Is he up for another marriage after seeing how such a ceremony didn't guarantee a happy ending, anyway? Maybe not. Or maybe not yet.

Now Beckett must make a career-related decision that could make her leave New York City, and by relation, Castle. Yet she chose not to tell him that she is perhaps considering the job offer. That she has been offered a huge career opportunity is reason enough to have some talk about it. But she chose not to. So who's being a little too secretive now?

There is no reason for Beckett to be insecure about how Castle sees his future. She's definitely in his future - but maybe this is true only if she stays in New York.

From the looks of things, Castle and Beckett will have the talk in the finale. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed. On Facebook, Castle's page is filled with fans' comments saying they will quit watching the series if their favorite couple breaks up.

Then again, the show is called "Castle." In being with Beckett, the series has given so much attention to procedural drama instead of Castle's life. Where is the series headed now?
