Castle Season 5 Spoilers: Beckett Deals with Disturbing Evidence
Richard Castle with a gun, what’s going on?
Castle and Beckett are finally together. Three episodes into the fifth season, the detective and the author in the ABC series are still very much in-love. Any challenges up ahead? Certainly.
Speaking to TV Guide, "Castle" creator Andrew W. Marlowe said Season 5 is "about how [Castle and Beckett] adjust to each other.
The new couple has no immediate plans of making their relationship public. This made it difficult for Castle to turn down a date on Episode 5.2. Things still ended well, though. Castle's date gave him clues in solving a murder. But Beckett made it clear she was not okay with it.
Marlowe emphasized Castle and Beckett are "figuring each other out."
"Castle has a fear of getting into a relationship because he's done it twice and it hasn't worked out. I think both these characters still have some internal issues that they're dealing with. When we get deeper into the season and they're having a conversation about the future of the relationship, I think that's a terrifying question for both of them."
The creator's statement hints a tricky and rocky road ahead for Castle and Beckett. Shippers be ready, then.

On the fifth episode, a ritualistic murder will be linked to Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion). Naturally, Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) will not be thrilled about this. She will have to deal with the nagging idea that she probably does not know Castle enough.
In this same episode, Castle will be seen holding out a gun. Now things are getting serious. What crime would the dating partner have to deal with?
Castle 5.5 is called "Probable Cause." It will air on U.S. television via ABC on October 29.
