Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) did not respond with a straight "YES" to Rick Castle's (Nathan Fillion) marriage proposal in "Castle" Season 6. But, she kissed Castle and said "I love you" to him.

ABC has released a new sneak peek of "Castle" Season 6 Episode 1, "Valkyrie." The sneak peek suggests that the opening scene of "Castle" Season 6 will be the continuation of the Season 5 closing scene -- the proposal scene.

In the Season 5 finale of "Castle," Castle finally shed all his apprehensions and proposed to Beckett, "Katherine Houghton Beckett, will you marry me?" The sneak peek of "Valkyrie" is a scene that shows Beckett's response to the unexpected proposal. Beckett thought that Castle was breaking-up with her.

Beckett: "Oh My God ... Oh My God, you're proposing.

Castle: "Okay, you're surprised."

Beckett: "Of course, I'm surprised. I thought you're breaking-up, with me."

Castle: "By offering you a ring."

Beckett can be seen kissing Castle in the sneak peek when he tells her that it is the most serious thing he has ever done. But, it looks like he has to wait to get a confirmed "YES" because Beckett's kiss does not mean it is the "YES."

Castle: "So, that is a yes?"

Beckett: "No, wait."

Castle: "No!"

Beckett: "No, No, not now."

Castle: "So, yes?"

Beckett: hmmm

Beckett says "I love you, Castle. But, there is something I need to tell you" when he asks "You do know how it works, right?"

It is the Washington DC job offer that she is going to talk about (not included in the sneak peek). She has made-up her mind to take up the job and will move to Washington DC. However, unconfirmed reports indicate that she accepts Castle's marriage proposal, as well.

Lisa Edelstein, former House star, is expected to play the role of Beckett's mentor, Rachel McCord, at Washington DC.

The new season of "Castle" premieres on Monday, September 23, 2013.
