The sixth season of "Castle" began on a note of Kate Beckett accepting Rick Castle's marriage proposal. There were hints of wedding and a wedding shopping in a couple of episodes of the first installment of Season 6. However, the talk of a wedding or preparation did not get enough attention. The second installment of "Castle" Season 6 might make "Caskett" shippers happy, as it is likely that Castle and Beckett might become husband and wife in one of the upcoming episodes.

TV Guide reports that Andrew Marlowe, executive producer of "Castle" has locked the date on which Castle and Beckett will get married. However, Marlowe is not revealing the wedding date, yet. He said to TV Guide: "But I don't think we're close enough to reveal it."

The plan of Castle and Beckett might get complicated because of Senator Bracken and 3XK. In one of the episodes of "Castle" Season 6, there were hints of 3XK -- presumed to be dead -- being alive when lookalikes of Esposito and Lanie were killed and all the files and lab reports related to 3XK disappeared from 12th precinct.

In an interview, Stana Katic, who plays Kate Beckett, had indicated that her character needs a closure when it comes to the murder of her mother. Senator Bracken might be brought back in the show to give that closure.

In an episode, which is scheduled to air on January 27, 2014, Beckett will find a wedding dress. "Beckett's past comes back and brings the dress to her," said Katic to TV Guide. She will not come across the dress while on an actual wedding shopping, but will spot it while investigating a case.

"Beckett's looking at designers' spring lines," said Marlowe. Beckett is likely to get emotional while trying on the dress. Marlow said it "is an emotional moment for her because this is something she would have been doing with her [deceased] mother."
