"Castle" Season 6 is on break at the moment. The upcoming episodes in January might provide us a reunion between Castle and his father. It is tentatively scheduled to premiere Jan. 20, 2014.

James Brolin, the actor who plays Castle's father, said to Antenna Free TV that he received a call to reprise his role of Castle's father in Season 6 of "Castle."

The actor had told the Antenna Free TV: "Well, there's no reason for me to do another episodic show...unless I can show you the complete other side of this character, the one you might be afraid of." He said that if he is going do another episode he would like his character to be "talked-about as the first one."

Andrew Marlowe, creator of "Castle," has confirmed that Brolin is returning to reprise his role of CIA's brutal assassin, Jackson Hunt. He said to TV Line that Castle and his father will "flung together once again, Castle begins to wonder whether he can trust this mysterious stranger."

Castle has not yet revealed to his mother that he has met his father. We wonder if he will finally let out his big, fat secret and tell his family about meeting the assassin of CIA and how his father helped find Alexis when she was kidnapped.

Meanwhile, Marlowe has also indicated his intention to bring back Sen. William Bracken. However, they are waiting for a "perfect story" to bring him back in "Castle," according to TV Guide. Bracken has blood of Beckett's mother on his hands.

Stana Katic, who plays Kate Beckett, believes that her character needs a closure when it comes to finding her mother's killed.

"I think that story needs really great closure. They did a really nice job of developing this 'sleeping dragon' story, and [the end] of that should be done with justice to all of the years that they spent developing that," she said to TV Guide.
