In "Castle" Season 5, Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) had two life-defining moments. She received a new job offer and she got a marriage proposal -- both have the potential to alter her life. Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) went down on one of his knees and proposed to her, "Katherine Houghton Beckett, will you marry me?"

For Beckett, Castle's proposal was a shocker and unexpected. In the Season finale of "Castle" Season 5, Beckett had met Castle, with the intention to tell him about the Washington DC job offer. The buzz is that Beckett does tell Castle about the Washington DC job offer and that she has made-up her mind to accept it. According to unconfirmed reports, Castle does not go back home, completely disappointed. It is highly likely that Beckett says "YES" to Castle's marriage proposal.

"Castle" Season 6 reportedly picks-up right at the swings' location and then, it is expected to take a leap of nearly four months. It is a long distance relationship for Beckett and Castle and it is not going to be an easy one.

TV Guide reports that actress Lisa Edelstein, former House star, might end-up creating friction in Caskett's relationship. She plays the role of Beckett's mentor, Rachel McCord, at Washington DC, and will be having a three episode arc in "Castle" Season 6.

"McCord becomes a mentor to Beckett and doesn't quite understand why Castle is hanging around," Edelstein said to TV Guide. "What McCord's done with her life is really inspiring and tempting to Beckett, but it is also threatening to the way of life Beckett's chosen so far."

Edelstein possibly alludes to Beckett's juggling act to balance her personal and professional life. The new job demands complete commitment and dedication. And, if she says "Yes" to Castle, she will have to take care of her relationship with Castle, too. It is not going to be a walk in the park for Beckett. McCord is likely to become the third wheel in Caskett's relationship.

ABC's "Castle" Season 6 premieres on September 23, 2013, with the episode called "Valkyrie."
