Stana Katic is leaving 'Castle'

"Castle" Season 7, Episode 3, titled "Clear and Present Danger," airs Monday on ABC. In this week's new episode, Stana Katic's Kate Beckett and Nathan Fillion's Rick Castle revisit the paranormal realm, or at least something like it. Some fans are speculating this is no "Time Will Tell," while others are hopeful.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains Castle Season 7 spoilers. Read at your own risk if you have not watched the previous episodes, or seen the Castle 7x3 promo video.

Castle 7x3 features an "invisible man" in the latest NYPD case to land the hands of Detective Kate Beckett. In the promo clip, Rick Castle is thrilled - just as he was thrilled when they had a "Santa" case, a "vampire" case, and a year ago, a "time traveler" (among others).

In Castle Season 6, Episode 5, titled "Time Will Tell, "Chuck" actor Joshua Gomez drops by as a time traveler, leaving traces of the past and the future for Kate Beckett. A year later, Rick and Kate get to deal with someone who gets to be invisible.

Castle Season 7, Episode 3 is expected to highlight the difference between Rick and Kate - the dreamer and the realist - when confronted by a strange case.

It may sound like just another fun Castle episode that touches upon the paranormal theme. But at this point when Kate needs some "solid ground" with Rick, a little humor, a little faith in the extraordinary could work wonders.

For those who missed Castle Season 7, Episode 2: Kate tells Rick she needs to feel some solid ground beneath their feet first before they marry. Would the invisible man get them there? It would play a nice contrast with the title, "Clear and Present Danger."

For those who have missed the latest big spoiler, the Caskett wedding is going to happen, TVLine has confirmed. Nathan Fillion himself has spoken about this wedding, with respect to the show's fans (including some faithful Caskett shippers).

Meanwhile, the series is expected to set aside the mysterious detais surrounding Rick's memory removal process. Series creator Andrew W. Marlowe and new show boss David Amann have hinted in earlier spoilers that there would be more answers toward the end of Castle Season 7.

Castle airs Mondays on ABC. The next new episode - Castle 7x4 ("Child's Play") - airs Oct. 20.
