"Castle" Season 7 returns with new episodes on ABC on Jan. 12, according to the network's website. In the next new episode, Nathan Fillion's Rick Castle changes his life with two letters. Meanwhile, Stana Katic has reportedly told the media she is "super happy" about the way things are working out for Cas-kett.

In Castle Season 7, Episode 10 ("Bad Santa"), Rick Castle learns he is not welcome to work at NYPD anymore. This time, because of his mob involvement, the mayor cannot help him. A spoiler update reveals what he does about that, and there will be a time jump to get right into the answer.

"Beckett and everybody's kind of acclimated to [Rick's] absence [after a couple of months]. Just as they have acclimated to his absence, suddenly he appears at the scene having acquired his private investigator's license," Castle Season 7 showrunner David Amann told TV Guide.

Castle Season 7, Episode 11: New Episode Title In Spoiler Report

"Castle, P.I." is the title of the next new episode of the ABC procedural dramedy, according to a spoiler report from thefutoncritic.com. This changes Rick's life and the NYPD dynamics. Rick and his wife Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) will both be detectives. (Some fans are wondering whether Rick will be sporting a new "P.I." vest.)

"(W)hat do you think about Kate Beckett's development?" A fan asked Stana Katic on Twitter. The actress replied, "What do YOU think?" Among the replies came, "I think it's great that those walls finally came down and she can finally let herself be happy."

Katic seemed more interested in what viewers think of Kate Beckett in Castle Season 7 than her own opinion. Still, a fan site quoted the actress as saying that she is "super happy that everything worked out well" for Castle and Beckett. Katic supposedly made the statement to Mood, an Estonian lifestyle magazine. (See Stana Katic's interview photo on Facebook.)

Stana Katic has recently spoken about the possibility, remote or otherwise, that the series might end after Castle Season 7. For the actress, ending while on top is a good idea.

Castle Season 7 airs Mondays on ABC.
