‘Castle’ Season 7 Spoilers: Caskett Become Husband And Wife In A ‘Beautiful’ Scene In Episode 6
On Monday night, one of the most anticipated fictional weddings is going to take place. Rick Castle and Kate Beckett are set to tie the knot in episode 6 of "Castle" Season 7, which is titled "The Time of Our Lives." According to the preview of the episode, "the wedding you've been waiting for is finally here!"
In the last season finale, it looked like Beckett and Castle had overcome all the obstacles and the season would wrap up on 'I do' note. But, Castle disappeared on his wedding day. The writers introduced the twist in the final moments of the season 6 to introduce a new mythology revolving around Castle. In the premiere episode of the current season, Castle came back after two months but he does not remember where he was and who took him.
Now, Beckett and Castle are finally taking the plunge. The wedding, however, is no longer taking place in New Hamptons and there is no elaborate wedding preparation like Season 6. It is going to be an impromptu wedding ceremony.
In an interview with TV Line, David Amann, showrunner of "Castle," has confirmed that the upcoming episode 6 will feature only exchange of vows, as they have already shown all the other elements of wedding preparations, including picking the venue, the song, dresses and who to send invitations and more.
Speaking about the wedding, Amann said that he does not know the length of the wedding scene but he said that it is a beautiful moment. He said to TV Line, "I will say that having seen it, it is a really beautiful moment for the two characters, and for the series itself. I think it's going to meet -- or hopefully exceed -- the expectations of the folks watching the show."
In addition to the wedding, the episode 6 will also show Castle and Beckett in an alternate reality. It is going to explore what would have happened if Castle and Beckett had not met. According to Amann, it is going to give Castle a perspective on how his life would have been if he had not met Beckett. Amann said to TV Line, "It serves as a way of driving them towards closure in their relationship."
