"Castle" returns on Monday, Sept. 29, with Season 7. The last season opened with Beckett saying yes to Castle's marriage proposal. The new season is set to open with Castle's disappearance on his and Beckett's wedding day. The premiere episode, which is titled "Driven," opens without a time jump but there is a significant time leap at some point in the episode.

The final moments of the last season: The marriage license was in Castle's pocket and Bride Beckett was waiting for her groom to arrive, looking stunning in her mother's gown. It looked like nothing will go wrong now and the season is going to end on a happy note, without a major cliffhanger. A call changed everything. It was a call to inform about the accident of Castle's car. Beckett reached the spot and saw her fiancé's car in a ravine, engulfed in flames. The worst was being assumed.

The first few moments of "Driven" reveals that Castle is not in the car. It is going to make everyone sigh in relief for a moment, hopeful that Castle is not dead, but a lot of questions will surface about what happened to Castle. Not knowing is more difficult to handle and spoilers indicate that it will take some time before Castle is found. Beckett will be seen investigating the toughest case of her life and answers will elude her.

TV Guide has said that the premiere episode is unlikely to answer the questions about who caused the accident of Castle's car and for what reason. The report says "the answers that are immediately available to make every character-- even Beckett -- seriously evaluate how much they really know (or believe in) Castle."

The "silver living," according to TV Guide, the immediate answers may not tell the complete story, though the damage may already have been done.

Meanwhile, TV Line is reporting that "Monday's season opener sets up a very provocative, perplexing puzzle to be solved -- and only a random piece or two are nudged into place by the time the hour ends, leaving Beckett decidedly uneasy."

As previously reported, the new season of "Castle" is set to introduce a mythology that revolves around Castle. New secrets about him are going to be revealed, which is likely to cause between Castle and Beckett.

However if spoiler reports are to be believe, Castle and Beckett may get married before the end of this year.
