Castle Season 7 Spoilers, Updates: Stana Katic Breaks Twitter Hiatus, Creator Andrew Marlowe Steps Down
There is a new show boss for ABC's Castle Season 7. Meanwhile, Stana Katic is back on Twitter, dropping hints about her new project with Brett Dalton.
The "Castle" Season 7 premiere air date (anticipated to be around Sept. 22) is still three months away, but creator Andrew W. Marlowe is stepping down. Caskett fans are wondering what this means for Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). Stana, meanwhile, is busy filming a new project with actor Brett Dalton.
Spoiler alert: This feature contains spoilers on Castle Season 6 and the beginning of Season 7. Read at your own risk.
"I'll continue to be involved at every level [in Castle Season 7], but with David [Amann] taking lead in key areas, I'm hoping it can create some space for Terri [Miller] and me to develop new shows, while maintaining the magic on Castle," Marlowe tells castletv.net in a statement.
David Amann has been in the production team of the hit ABC series since Castle Season 3. Terri Miller, Marlowe's wife, has been writing the key episodes of Castle, the latest of which is the Season 6 finale, "For Better or Worse."
Marlowe's statement should put fans at ease over the change in production head for Castle Season 7. The sixth season is the most watched season of the show, and Marlowe finds it high time to pass on the reins for creative purposes.
Stana Katic, meanwhile, had been on Twitter hiatus until recently. Katic posted on June 19 that she was in Greece, and Castle Season 6, Episode 22 ("Veritas") was airing at the time. The latest tweet of the actress playing Kate Beckett features a photo with Brett Dalton, another ABC star ("Marvels: Agents of SHIELD").

Marlowe promised a quick serving of answers as to what happens next to Rick Castle and Kate Beckett in Castle Season 7. Naturally, there will be more questions amongst Caskett fans.
Earlier reports indicated the old villains (3XK, Sen. William Bracken) may not be involved in the assault on Rick Castle on his wedding day. Stana's Beckett is expected to get to the bottom of this. Fans hope a proper wedding develops soon enough in Castle Season 7.
Castle Season 7, Episode 1 (new season premiere) airs on ABC in the fall this year.
