The writing team of ABC's popular series "Castle" have started writing the Season 7 of Castle. The previous season of "Castle" wrapped-up with a heart-breaking scene. Kate Beckett, who was looking stunning in her mother's wedding gown, was on the verge of breaking-down, as Rick Castle's car was in flames and in a ditch and the unspoken word was Castle has died in the accident.

Two writers from "Castle" writing team took to Twitter to announce that they are back to their writing desk. "Just saved a seagull at the Castle writers' retreat. Hello, Season 7!," said Shawn Waugh, a writer of "Castle," on Twitter. He posted that on June 3, and on the same date, Chad Gomez Creasey, also a writer on the show, posted on Twitter, "I know something you don't know. #Castle S7."

Since Castle plays the titular character, it is very much expected that he will be returning in the upcoming, new season. Caskett fans did not get to see Castle and Beckett's wedding because Andrew Marlowe, creator of "Castle," and his writing team wanted to introduce a new mythology in the new season. The last scene of "Castle" Season 6 is related to the new mythology. Marlowe said to TV Line, "With the mythology that we're introducing, we want to start it off with a bang. We're just sorry that the audience has to wait until September to see how we're going to resolve it."

Marlowe said to Give Me My Remote, "... we're opening up some very interesting storytelling for the beginning of next season. And that's all going to be wound up in how we're coming back next year. So we're really excited to get into it."

Marlowe also said that they wanted to do a little bit more storytelling before getting Castle and Beckett married. He also knows that fans expect a proper wedding -- whenever that happens. He said to TV Line, "... we owe them a wedding that accurately reflects who Castle and Beckett are, yes."

Meanwhile, Marlowe also confirmed to TV Line that Nathan Fillion has signed on for Season 7.

"Castle" is expected to premiere this fall.
