Stana Katic, who plays homicide detective Kate Beckett in ABC's "Castle," recently took the ALS bucket challenge and shared the video on her Twitter page. Nathan Fillion, however, is not present in the video.

The video opens with co-actor Jon Huertas, who plays Esposito, walking towards Stana's trailer, carrying a bucket. Currently, the "Castle" cast members are filming the upcoming Season 7 of the show. He is seen saying in the video that Stana has been challenged several times by several people but she has yet to take the ALS bucket challenge.

Jon is planning to douse Stana in ice water when she comes out of her trailer to go to the make-up chamber. Jon's plan is to hide and wait for Stana to step out. But, before he could hide, Stana drenches him and runs away from there.

However, Stana does not stay dry for too long. Seamus Dever, who plays Ryan in the show, is seen dousing her in ice-water. And, two production guys pour their buckets of ice-water on Seamus. Jon arrives at the spot, looking for Stana, but empties his bucket on Seamus. In the video, Stana is seen laughing aloud, looking at Seamus.

At the end of the video, the Stana says: "We did this challenge because so many of our friends and so many of you challenged us. But, mostly, we did this because we were inspired by Anthony Carbajal ALS challenge video."

"We thank all of you for challenging us," Jon says, adding that Anthony showed them how real ALS is and what their pledge really mean to the cause. The three actors, however, did not nominate anyone "specific" to take the challenge, but asked everyone, who has yet to take the challenge, to take it.

"We challenge you to #KissMyALS," the three actors say in unison at the end.

Carbajal, 26, was recently diagnosed with ALS and he took the challenge wearing a pink bikini top and shorts. The words "Kiss My ALS" are written on the shorts.

"Castle" Season 7 is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 29. The new season is set to introduce a new mythology and this time revolving around Castle.
