Catherine Zeta Jones And Michael Douglas Overcome Marriage Problems, Move Into Their $11M Mansion
It looks like Catherina Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas have sorted their differences. The couple recently moved in together into a plush $11m mansion in New York's exclusive Bedford Hills area, according to reports. The house reportedly has eight bedrooms, horse-riding facilities, 18 bathrooms, glorious gardens, a tennis court, 18 bathrooms and a large swimming pool.
According to WalesOnline's report, the couple has brought the new house after selling their previous colonial-styled mansion for $7.5m. Moreover, this Hollywood couple is planning to celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary on Nov. 18 in the new, state-of the-art mansion, according to the report. The interiors of the house are being re-done according to Jones and Douglas' tastes. The couple's move to buy a new home has come amid divorce rumours as reported by National Enquirer magazine.
The couple temporarily separated last year, triggering speculations about the status of Jones and Douglas' marriage. Last year, a spokesperson of theirs has said in an official statement that the couple is "taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage." However, the two got back together after four months of staying apart, according to The Chronicle report.
Jones and Douglas are parents to two children, Dylan, 13 and Carys, 10. Apart from marriage troubles, in the last few years, the two have also faced health problems. Michael got diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010, while Catherine developed bipolar II disorder in May this year, according to the report by the website. However, now it looks like the Oscar winning couple has overcome all the obstacles and are currently looking forward to enjoy a blissful life as a couple.
Meanwhile, Catherine has started filming for "The Dad's Army." The film is a big screen adaptation of the hugely popular TV show of the same name. The first schedule of the film's shooting has started in Yorkshire. Zeta Jones plays a glamorous journalist Rose Winters in the film, which tells a story of a group of volunteers who are in a search of a spy. The film has been directed by Oliver Parker and the other cast members includes Blake Harrison as Private Pike, Danny Mays as the spiv Walker, Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman, Mark Gatiss and Annette Crosbie.
