CBS has ordered replacements for Two and a Half Men to fill up the schedule left void by the absence of controversial actor, Charlie Sheen.

Reuter’s Hollywood Reporter Kim Masters said that America’s number 1 comedy show will be replaced by two additional episodes of Monday sitcoms “Mike and Molly” and “Rules of Engagement”, recently ordered by CBS.

This raises question as to whether or not Sheen will be out for the rest of the season.

Sheen has reportedly entered a rehabilitation program for addiction days after he was brought to a Los Angeles hospital due to ‘abdominal pains’ referred to as ‘hernia’ by his representative in an earlier statement.

Denise Richard’s ex-husband is apparently undertaking a home-based rehabilitation program, guided by a trained expert in addiction. TMZ claimed in a report, according to Reuters that Sheen needs three months to undergo complete treatment and rehabilitation.

This means, that the actor will leave CBS short of eight out of 24-episode per season. The CBS network has not been informed of Sheen’s looming three-month absence, said Reuters. It has remained unclear whether any serious talk has been done to shoot the next series of the highest rating sitcom while Sheen is absent, recuperating or undergoing rehabilitation.

Sheen has been recorded as Hollywood's highest-paid TV actor for reportedly raking $1.25M per episode after he re-negotiated his fee in August 2010.
