Celebrate Mother's Day with 'Game of Thrones' characters Tyrion, Cersei, Joffrey, Daenerys, Olenna and Sansa
HBO has released a few “Game of Thrones” videos to celebrate Mother’s Day. The videos show Tyrion, Cersei, Joffrey, Daenerys, Olenna and Sansa talking about mothers. The videos are scenes from some of the previous seasons of the TV series and they show the complex relationships of the different characters.
Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Cersei (Lena Headey) rarely get along. They have been at each other’s throats since childhood. But, Cersei’s love for her children and her willingness to do anything to keep them safe won the admiration of her brother.

Unfortunately, her children don’t seem to appreciate everything she has done for them. At one point Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) insulted his mother at dinner in front of everyone by saying that she was losing focus on the facts as she was growing old.

Perhaps the most popular mother in the TV series is the Mother of Dragons. Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) has raised her three children since they were very little and they have saved her on more than one occasion. But, she found it difficult to control them when they grew up.

Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg) has not been seen so far in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. A Scene from one of the previous seasons shows her having a conversation with Sansa (Sophie Turner). The scene shows why the old lady is called the Queen of Thorns. Her sharp tongue leaves Sansa nearly speechless.

Despite her intelligence and power, Olenna was not able to help her daughter Margaery (Natalie Dormer). The trailers of the TV series show that it will be Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) who will eventually step up to help the Tyrells.
“Game of Thrones” is quickly racing towards the grand finale. With the White Walker invasion having started, it is only a matter of time before Daenerys returns to Westeros and all the storylines connect.
