Colonial First State Property Retail Pty Ltd, manager of CFS Retail Property Trust said none of its Queensland shopping centres has experienced material damage and each is fully insured for loss of rental income and flood damage.

In light of the flooding that has impacted several parts of Queensland, in particular in Toowoomba and Brisbane, over the past week, the company said its main concern is and remains the safety of all shopping centre employees and tenants. At this stage no injuries have been reported.

In Toowoomba, the Trust's Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre has been unaffected by the flooding that impacted this city.

In the Brisbane CBD, the Trust's three retail assets - Myer Centre Brisbane, Post Office Square and QueensPlaza, were all required to close on Wednesday 12 January.

Myer Centre Brisbane has reopened today and QueensPlaza is expected to reopen for normal trade by Monday 17 January. Post Office Square is expected to recommence trading by Wednesday 19 January.
