Chance to be in 'Wonder Woman 1984' by donating to charity
“Wonder Woman 1984” team has teamed up with the charity organisation Omaze to offer one lucky fan a chance to star in the film. Director Patty Jenkins and lead cast member Gal Gadot (Diana Prince) appeared in a video online, explaining the campaign.
Two fans will get a chance to fly to the filming location, wherever they are filming in London, stay in an “awesome” four star hotel, hang out with the cast and crew of the film, and one of the fans will get to be a part of the movie, with full 1980s costume and makeup. “We want to put you in the movie,” Gadot said in the video released by Omaze [see below].
“To support the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, we’re teaming up with Omaze to offer you a walk-on role on ‘Wonder Woman 1984,’” Jenkins said in the video. Gadot is promising a “VIP ‘Wonder Woman’ experience” to those who win.
Gadot also promised that the lucky winner will get to be in a scene with her. In order to participate, the fans will have to go to the Omaze website and make a donation to get a chance to be in the film.
There are multiple levels of entries, with each level offering bigger perks along with the chance to be in the movie. For $10 (about AU$13.5) there are 100 entries, and this is the smallest contribution. The 10,000 entry option, which comes with a signed photo of Wonder Woman and the 35,000 option that comes with an autographed book, and a few other high end options are already sold out.
Filming has already started for “Wonder Woman 1984.” The movie is set to be released on Nov. 1, 2019 in the US. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date for the Australian market.
