Channing Tatum swept away his fans when he starred in the comedy movie "Magic Mike." And it looks like the stripping and dancing has paid off as the hunky actor was hailed "Sexiest Man Alive."

It's a beautiful surprise just as the year closes for actor Channing Tatum. The 32-year-old was hailed "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine. The gorgeous actor dethroned Bradley Cooper and beat the likes of Matt Bomer and Ryan Gosling from the prestigious list.

Upon finding out about his new recognition, Channing said that he just couldn't believe his luck. He also revealed that his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, couldn't also believe that he won the top spot for this year.

"My first thought was, "Y'all are messing with me", I told Jenna after we'd been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they'd gotten skunked," he said that his wife couldn't believe he got the title which was once owned by Brad Pitt.

"Well obviously I agree! Good job @peoplemag! Congrats to my humble,loving,talented and yes- SEXY- love @channingtatum!!" Jenna later posted her support for Channing.

Talking about if the hunky actor is ready to become a dad, Channing admitted that he feels he is ready. He added that Jenna is ready too.

"I'm ready. I think she's ready. The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we'll see where we go after that," he said.

Apart from being People's "Sexiest Man Alive," Channing also bagged the "Movie Star of the Year" title for GQ's "Men of the Years" awards.

Jenna was quick to congratulate her husband once again as she posted on Twitter, "So proud of my love, he's GQ's man of the year!! So deserved!!"
