Channing Tatum's Wife Jenna Dewan Tatum Reveals She Couldn't Watch Husband's Dark Character In 'Foxcatcher'
Channing Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan Tatum recently confessed that she was unable to watch her husband play the intense role of a Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz in the film "Foxcatcher." Jenna said that she couldn't stand the dark subject so she left the set of the film ahead of the schedule.
"I was pregnant, so I came already hormonal," Jenna told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson during the recent Hollywood Film Awards. "It was so interesting because he was so in character, channelling this sort of intense dark character that I was like - and it was winter - I was like I'm going to go back to California," she added.
In the film Channing plays a wrestling champion whose brother Dave Schultz is murdered by the paranoid-schizophrenic coach John du Pont. The film is directed by Bennett Miller and has already been showcased at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
This is a rare role for Channing, as he is used to playing light-hearted roles in the films such as "21 Jump Street" and "Step Up." According to Access Hollywood, the actor also said that it was not easy to get out of the shadow of the character when he came back home. It was reportedly difficult for Channing to make his pregnant wife Jenna laugh after the film's shoot.
The couple's appearance at the award function comes amidst the OK magazine's report that states that Jenna was "upset" with Channing's alleged "close relationship" with his "Magic Mike XXL" co-star Amber Heard. There is no confirmation to this. Moreover, speculations in regard to their relationship also rose in June, that time the rep according to Fashion Times has said, "this is further from truth."
Moreover, the couple has been making various public appearances together. On Nov. 11 they also stepped out together with their 17-month-old daughter Everly for some shopping. They were seen at the West Hollywood farmers market and looked like they enjoyed some family time. They both coordinated their looks. Channing looked handsome in earthy hued khaki and a matching jacket while Jenna looked cute in a pair of blue ripped jeans and a light green jacket.
Jenna and Channing met during the shooting of their film "Step Up." They got married in 2009.
