Charity Crook: Kim Kardashian Gives 10 Percent & Bags 90 Percent of Money Raised for Charity Auction Donations [See Photos]
Kim Kardashian is in the news again and this time it's not about her relationship with Kanye or for whatever lame reason. Except that the reality star is in hot water for bagging 90 percent of the money raised for victims of the recent typhoon that hit the Philippines.
Due to the recent typhoon that hit the south East Asian Country, the reality star tweeted on December 5, Thursday to her followers that she would be helping an auction on eBay to help raise money for those who needed medical assistance and food. The link followed by a personal message was tweeted by Kim saying:
"Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction are going to International Medical Corps, a nonprofit organisation [sic] that provides critical health services on remote islands where families are struggling to access medical care and basic resources like food, clean drinking water and vital medications, The proceeds will go directly to the communities they're serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives. My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the typhoon. Check out my eBay auction here and support those who need our help in the Philippines. Xo."
With this being posted, fans and those who wanted to help in the donations were shocked when Kim Kardashian bagged the 90 percent of the donations and only gave 10 percent to the charities.
Over the weekend, the statement on site had been revised.
Should fans and othesr really hold this against the Kardashian? Probably yes, as she did say that it would go to those who really needed it. Anyone would assume that she has all the money she needs to carry on her lavish lifestyle even without the 90 percent she bagged from the so-called "Chariy Auction".
