Charlie Sheen discharged from hospital after incident in New York hotel
Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen has been discharged from the hospital, after being admitted due to an allergic reaction to medication.
Sheen's representative Stan Rosenfield said: "Charlie Sheen has been discharged from a hospital in N.Y. and is returning to L.A. today."
"Everything else is speculation."
According to initial reports, Sheen was found in a New York hotel room and police said that the 45-year-old actor was hospitalised for intoxication.
Entertainment news outlets said that Sheen was brought to the hospital after a drunken episode where he caused serious damage to his Plaza Hotel room after he was found naked and in the company of the woman. The 911 call for Sheen was made for possible intoxication.
TMZ quotes sources from the law enforcment agency, as saying that no evidence of drug use was found inside the room.
Sheen, star of television series Two and a Half Men, is the highest paid comedy actor on television. He appeared in Spin City, Platoon and Wall Street.
In the 1990s, the Hollywood actor had been involved in several infractions of the law, in cases related to drugs, domestic violence and prostitution. According to reports, Sheen would be off his probation in just a week. He was accussed of assaulting his ex-wife actress Denise Richards.
