Charlie Sheen has both confirmed and denied reports that troubled actress Lindsay Lohan had been difficult on the set of his TV show "Anger Management." The equally controversial actor was on "The Tonight Show" to promote his latest film with the younger actress.

Charlie will be appearing alongside LiLo in the spoof comedy "Scary Movie 5," but they will appear on the small screen first as she guest stars as herself on Charlie's comedy series.

When asked by host Jay Leno if Lindsay was late for work and caused troubles on the set, Charlie didn't hold back.

"Not on day one," he answered. "Day one was fabulous. She was on time. Hit every mark. Made us look off our game, which we weren't."

But then came day two, which is when he got firsthand experience of Lindsay's infamous tardiness.

"Then we had to deal with day two. It was though she had us held hostage because she gave us half the show. No, she had an 'earache,'" Charlie said as he gestured air quotes with his fingers. "She was a couple of hours late. She was really not feeling well. We just worked around it.

"She was late, what can I say?"

Charlie also cleared rumours that she stole some jewellery pieces from the set.

"It's true but it's not true," he explained. "She borrowed some stuff and then was told they would take it out of her pay check, and she said fine and that's all it was."

Lindsay was on David Letterman's "Late Show" the other day, where she also cleared some tabloid rumours about her. David asked her whether it's true that Charlie helped her pay her taxes with $100,000 loan. To which she replied, "That's something you have to ask Charlie."
