MasterChef evictee Fiona Inglis may not be the king of the kitchen, but she is the queen of the kids.

On the TV show last night, Inglis had to face the cruel eliminations. Even though she had to leave the show, the good news is she immediately landed a teaching role that also calls on her passion for food.

Inglis will be a kitcen garden specialist at Melbourne's Findon Primary School as part of Stephanie Alexander's Kitchen Garden National Program.

She will be in charge of 130 students who help look out for the school's vegetable garden and will attend her cooking classes.

"If I hadn't been eliminated I might not have got this job," Inglis said.

She got eliminated from MasterChef last night when she failed a mystery box test. She mistakenly cooked beef instead of fish to go with a sparkling wine.

"We were thrilled that she thought this was an important project," celebrity chef Alexander said.

Fiona fits her new job perfectly as she has enthusiasm, a passion for cooking and enjoys children. These are the qualities that the school needs from its employees.
