Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has been rewarded by the hard work that he has put in this season as he was named 2014 PFA Young Player of the Year.

The Belgium international has impressed with 17 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for the Blues, helping them contend for the Premier League title and progress through to the semi-finals of the Champions League in the ongoing term.

"It's always good to win awards because it means you've had a good season, but I prefer to win things collectively and I must say thank you to all my Chelsea team-mates, the staff and the fans," the 23-year-old told the Guardian.

He has missed the four recent fixtures of the west Londoners due to a calf/shin injury, but remains hopeful that he could make a comeback on Wednesday against Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Liverpool hitman Daniel Sturridge and Southampton's Luke Shaw, came in on second and third place, respectively.
