"Chennai Express" has hit a 100 crore mark in its opening weekend and this surely would have brought a smile on Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's face but has apparently given sleepless nights to the makers of "Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Doobara. (OUATIMD)"

The Rohit Shetty's newest venture has hit the gold mine at the box office within just a few days of release. This may spell a disaster for OUATIMD as the film might not get enough shows at the box-office.

"Chennai Express" vs. "Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobara"

Just in case sales of "Chennai Express" dip today and tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday, the theatre owners may want to open more avenues for "Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Doobara." OUATIMD stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imraan Khan in lead and the film was expected to break BO records till the time "Chennai Express" came rushing in.

Raveena Tandon's husband and a leading distributor Rajesh Thadani has told Times of India in a statement, "If Chennai Express wasn't a competition, OUATIMD would have made moolah at Box Office and Akshay Kumar Sonakshi Sinha starrer would have also munched on the profits of other films. However, with Chennai Express raking gold at box office it has hard to decide fate of OUATIMD."

"Chennai Express" opened at more than 1000 single screens and most of the owners of single screens give shows to the films depending on its box office report. UTV and Balaji had come to a mutual decision not to release the film on same date so that both films can reap the benefits.

As reported by Times of India, Sanjay Ghai, a leading distributor exhibitor from Delhi and Punjab said, "Theatre owners work on a simple logic. It is impossible for two trains to run on one track. Had "Chennai Express" been a disappointment, single screen owners would have given "Once Upon a Time in Mumbia Dobara" first preference.
