Chevron Corp.'s liquefied natural gas output from its $42-billion project in northwest Australia output will partly be marketed in Southeast Asia, China, and India.

This is after commitments by Chevron to binding supply agreements for Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG project to undisclosed clients, the company said in a fact sheet uploaded in its website.

The company said it has been looking at growing markets for the remaining uncommitted volumes.

Considered one of the biggest fuel suppliers in the world, Chevron has made an extra effort to sell clean energy fuel in Asia as countries struggle to meet stricter environment policies.

In a related Bloomberg report quoting Frontier Magazine, company officers of the American firm Chevron have visited Australia to check on their investments and the progress of their projects in Barrow Island.

Possible off-take agreements can be formed by Chevron to supply the LNG markets in Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore.

The company is also expected to make its final decision whether to proceed on its Wheatstone prospect in the second semester of year 2011. The first fuel shipment for Wheatstone is due in year 2016.
