'Chicago Fire' season 5 episode 5 spoilers: Casey not in right state of mind; Bret and Dawson get into an accident; the other side of Chief Boden revealed on ‘I Held Her Hand’

After not airing in its scheduled slot last week to make way for the US Presidential Elections, the action packed firefighter and emergency response drama “Chicago Fire” will be back on screen on November 15. It looks like it is making up for its absence with major drama.

In this upcoming episode of “Chicago Fire,” titled “I Held Her Hand,” the argument between Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) over the fire accident and its causes will be brought out. As for Casey, since she was not able to save the woman from the burning house, it looks like he will have a lot of answering to do as to why her convictions have certain limitations.
The promo for Season 5 Episode 5 shows that something odd is going through Casey’s mind. He will begin to entertain the speculation that the victim’s husband could have been a perpetrator for the whole incident. Severide would find this not worth believing and will rebut this with the point that the husband would not do such a thing. The promo deals with their heavy discussion with regards to what the possible motives could be and why the victim appeared to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Gabby Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Sylvie Bret (Kara Kilmer) will encounter an accident while driving around in the ambulance. As they hit a pedestrian, the ramifications of the incident begin to surreptitiously haunt her. Viewers are in for more tension on her part as she goes head on with the legal consequences of this.
This episode will also showcase another side of Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker). He is in currently torn over whether he should attend an important gathering in New York or not. It is emphasized that this big decision would lead to more significant events in the episodes to come.
