Chris Brown’s troubles are defying to die. After the recent tour cancellation, Brown has landed in another soup. The “Royalty” hitmaker was recently dropped from “The Daily Show” as the guest.

The makers of the show took this decision in the wake of the cancellation of Brown’s Australia tour, which was cancelled due to his criminal record. It was a double blow for Brown as his tour promoter announced the cancellation of his Australia and New Zealand tours just a week before the scheduled date over visa issues.

“In September, the Australian government warned it had plans to formally deny Brown’s visa because of his criminal conviction for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009,” Billboard reported on Tuesday.

Brown still has to bear the brunt of the six-year old case in which he was convicted for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown was denied a work visa owing to his conviction six-years back. “The Daily Show” audience was in for a shock when they saw Nick Cannon in place of Brown.

However, the update about Brown’s replacement was made in an Instagram post on the show’s page.

“thedailyshowTonight! Nick Cannon is here. #dailyshow #chiraqthemovie #nickcannon,” read the post. The post left the Brown’s fans infuriated, and they condemned the decision of Brown’s replacement.

“The show hopes to reschedule Chris for a future appearance,” a Comedy Central spokeswoman announced while revealing that the guest bookings are always subject to change, The Washington Post reporteds.

The Daily Beast reported that the staffers were concerned over Brown’s internet booking and many staffers disapproved his scheduled stint on the show. However, the show’s host Trevor Noah was said to expect that interview could help to draw the viewers’ attention towards the domestic abuse issues. Noah was keen to bring up the issue of domestic abuse on “The Daily Show” because he too had witnessed this malpractice in his own family.

Noah’s former stepfather reportedly attacked his mother on numerous occasions and went to extent of trying to shoot her once in the face.
