Chris Brown Speaks Out On Rihanna Assault
It seems all parties involved in the Rihanna and Chris Brown tiff on 2009 are finally moving on. Even Brown, who spoke little about his past and present relationship with the Stay singer is opening up about what happened four years ago-and how the pair moved past the much-publicized scandal.
Brown dropped by On The Air With Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday to surprisingly reveal more about his high-profile romance with Rihanna and his assault on her four years ago. Although the rapper used to keep mum about the incident, this time he was candid about his faults.
"Being at that young age, I can tell you I was arrogant and definitely hotheaded," Brown admits to Seacrest in his radio show. "Everybody has a temper, but for me it was not knowing how to control it when I thought I had the world in my hands."
Perhaps it is his new willingness to own up to his mistakes that has brought him back to the arms of former and current lady love Rihanna. The two singers are now back together and seemingly stronger than ever.
He might have apologized to the Barbados beauty in private and now he's not shy about sharing his remorse with the world. According to Brown he worked hard to turn his life around saying, "tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident."
Now that the couple's relationship is in bloom, Brown is content to keep things fun and genuine. He says he's thankful for being given another chance to patch up with Rihanna. And after all the tribulations the pair has gone through, he at least has learned a few lessons for his love, life and career.
"You can lose it all," Brown said. "And I'm not just saying fame or stardom, because that's not what it's about. I'm talking about dignity, integrity. You know, you lose yourself in a way."
For her part, Rihanna has also said numerous times that she's forgiven his beau for physically assaulting her in the past.
