Chris Brown's Summer Shows in Canada Cancelled. Reasons Unclear!
Chris Brown has cancelled 4 summer concerts which were scheduled to have been held in Canada. The reasons stated behind the cancellation were personal as well health problems of the R&B superstar. The promoter who was responsible for organizing the events informed the same Monday. On the other hand, Brown's publicist - Nicole Perna informed that the reason behind the cancellation was neither related to Brown's personal issues not related to his health problems. Interestingly, she was not willing to specify the specific reason behind the cancellation of the much awaited concerts in the 4 cities in Canada.
Canada has been expecting to watch the R&B superstar live in Toronto, Saint John, Winnipeg and Halifax. The 4 day swing was supposed to start on August 29. On the other hand, Drop Entertainment Group owner informed that the reason behind the cancellation was that they were not able to proceed further with no headliner.
Chris Brown along with his team management had a continual conversation and consultation with the entertainment group, said Stephen Tobin. They came to the understanding of cancelling the scheduled performances. The decision to scrap all 4 concerts was mutual, he said.
In July, it was announced that Brown was going to headline the series of concerts. Soon after, controversies started pouring in as Brown had his legal issues which were enough to cause ferocity. Chris Brown was involved in the highly infamous physical assault case with his former girlfriend Rihanna. Corporate sponsors withdrew their support in Halifax. The mayor of the city expressed his displeasure against the concert as well. He said that it was disappointing for him to know that Brown had been invited to hold a performance in the city.
There were other legal issues which troubled Brown recently as well. Brown was sentenced for 1,000 hours of community service after he had been involved in an apparent hit-and-run. He is also charged for an alleged assault against a man. One of the members of Brown's entourage allegedly assaulted the man at a recording studio in Hollywood back in January.
The refunds of the purchased tickets are going to be available from Thursday.
