Natalie Portman exclusively revealed to Daily News that she was not kissing Chris Hemsworth in Thor's final kissing scene. Hemsworth's real-life wife Elsa Pataky wore a wig and performed the end credit scene when Portman couldn't make it back to Marvel Studios film in time for reshoots.

The decision to have Elsa step in for Portman's role as a smooch double has nothing to do with Portman's chemistry to the Australian actor. The two aren't short of connection but the actress couldn't be in two places at once.

Portman who play's Jane Foster, Thor's mortal girlfriend, in the second installment of the movie did not make it on time for the film's reshooting due to scheduling conflict. Thanks to Chris' wife, "Fast and the Furious" star Elsa Pataky, the kissing scene is both believable and passionate.

"It was for reshoots (after the film was finished) and he was working in Hong Kong and I couldn't get there because I was working on my own film," said Portman to the Daily News, adding, "And so they put his wife in my wig and costume, that's why it was so passionate."

The Spanish born mother of two and her Thunder God delivered the most passionate movie kiss shared by two people who are actually in love in real life. With a few tweaks and the right camera angles, the two sharing a kiss is very believable; no one would think that it wasn't Portman kissing Thor.

"It was such a perfect solution, wasn't it," said Portman.

The 30-year-old actor was married to Pataky, 37, since 2010 and the couple have one child India Rose and another one on the way. This means that a pregnant Pataky was kissing Thor in the movie.

"Thor: The Dark World" made waves in the box office, the movie's premiere was an instant hit with an opening weekend of $86 million and has earned a whopping $591, 105, 086 million worldwide since its release. The movie is directed by Alan Taylor, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely and Christopher Yost.
