Chris Pine On The Ellen DeGeneres Show: 'Horrible Bosses 2' Star Confirms Being Single [WATCH VIDEO]
Actor Chris Pine recently made a guest appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to talk about his films "Into the Woods" and "Horrible Bosses 2." During the interview, TV host Ellen DeGeneres was able to make the 34-year-old actor open up about his relationship status and sing for a devoted "Pine Nut" fan.
On Wednesday, Nov. 26, Chris Pine confirmed in the talk-variety show that he is not dating anyone at the moment. The confirmation came after Ellen DeGeneres and her celebrity guest talked about singing in the shower.
Ellen DeGeneres admitted that she has never sung in the shower but Chris Pine explained that singing in the shower sounds better. "It's like your own music video. You feel all tremendous," the actor explained to the 56-year-old TV host.
For his role in the upcoming film "Into the Woods," Chris Pine shared that he sang "Fly Me to the Moon" during his audition in director Rob Marshall's living room. The actor further added that the film director noticed that he was nervous so he joined in singing the song. "That kind of made me feel more comfortable," Pine admitted.
Ellen DeGeneres pointed out that her celebrity guest is handsome and capable of singing before asking the question that fans want to hear the response. "Are you single?" the TV host inquired.
"I'm a single man," Pine admitted as the audience cheered on. According to a Daily News report, the "Star Trek Into Darkness" star's last romantic link was with former beauty queen íris Björk Jóhannesdóttir in early 2014.
Afterwards, Ellen DeGeneres asked Chris Pine if his biggest fans are called "Pine Nuts" and the actor agreed. "Do you have a 'Pine nut' here?" Pine asked. The TV host revealed that there is a "Pine Nut" in the audience and her name is Eileen Lee.
"Hey, Eileen! Come say hello to Prince Charming here," DeGeneres said to the lucky girl. Then, the TV host asked Ms. Lee what her favorite thing is about Chris Pine and the "Pine Nut" responded that the actor is tall and beautiful.
Ellen DeGeneres told the excited fan that the actor can sing too so they asked Chris Pine to do an impromptu performance. Chris Pine obliged to the fan's request of a Frank Sinatra song so he serenaded Eileen Lee with classic single titled "Summer Wind."
