There is something about "Fifty Shades of Grey." First it was "Fifty Shades of Grey" novel by E L James that broke all selling records, then came the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, which has been in news for some or the other reason and now we have a musical parody "50 Shades! The Musical," is generating good reviews.

Produced by Marshall Cordell, Albert Samuels and Emily Dorezas, the show, which makes fun of the world famous trilogy book in a light hearted manner, will premiere at Jacksonville's Times-Union Center's Moran Theater on Monday, December 9 for one performance only.

"Based on the greatest novel of all times, 50 Shades! The Musical tells a sexy, hilarious story chockfull of wrestling singlets, handcuffs, and helicopters with silly names," writes the Facebook page of the musical.

The musical parody kicks off with a ladies book club deciding where the best- selling novel is read. The ladies try to interpret the novel and this is when the hilarious roller coaster ride starts for the audience. The actors incorporated a lot of dance numbers with 11 original songs and a live band backing the performance. The songs which are sure to tickle your funny bone include "They Get Nasty", "I Don't Make Love", and "There's a Hole Inside of Me."

The show has been a hit with the audience and has sold out its tickets in Chicago and New York. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival gave it a 4-star review. "Laughs aplenty; the writers crafted a show with just the right tone: making fun of the book, but acknowledging its place - however tenuous - in popular culture. The sold-out audience couldn't stop laughing," according to the musoscribe blog.

Tickets for the musical start at $27.00 and are available at the Artist Series Box Office between 10AM-5PM, Monday-Friday, at (904) 442-BWAY (2929) and online 24/7 at www.artistseriesjax.org. Check out the video below:
