Avid fans of the erotic novel "50 Shades of Grey" were blown away when a magazine cover claimed that Christian Grey is finally revealed as Matt Bomer. But is the news true? Or is just another false alarm?

A headline from Entertainment Weekly magazine claims on their cover that the highly controversial role of Christian Grey has been confirmed to be played by Matt Bomer. The headline says, "Fifty Shades: The wait is over of Grey."

Now, it may come confusing to those who are anticipating the list of confirmed casts for the movie adaptation of E.L. James popular erotic novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey." But as much as all the Bomer fans would like it to be true, the "Editora Intrinsica" official page on Facebook confirmed that it was another false alarm. Matt Bomer is not Christian Grey, as of the moment at least.

However, fans cannot be blamed for believing the photo since the magazine cover looks legitimately true. The cover also says, "Matt Bomer talks about changing "white collar" for "grey" tie. It pertains to Bomer's current series "White Collar" where he plays the character Neal Caffrey.

Good news to all the other fans who are wishing their bets would win, the part of Christian Grey is still on the running. Fan polls have dominated the web and actors like Ian Somerhalder, Henry Cavill, Alexander Skarsgard and Matt Bomer are only few of those topping the polls.

There hasn't been any update on the casting of the movie. Producers as well as the author of the book are aware of the cult following of "50 Shades of Grey," so they tend to be "very picky" on casting the role of Mr. Grey. And since the news is another false alarm, fans need to wait some time more before the real Christian Grey is finally revealed.
