Christina Aguilera finally has her own star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. The multi-awarded singer's star was unveiled earlier this week along the famous sidewalk where other famous Hollywood celebrities' names are encrypted.

Aguilera has a movie, Burlesque, set to hit the big screen this month. The pop singer stars opposite Oscar-winning actress and singer Cher in the musical.

During the ceremony, Christina said that she had always imagined what it was lke to be a performer in Hollywood, as young girl in Pittsburgh.

"We would go from audition to audition and I would sing anthem after anthem, hoping one day it would all pay off. Standing here at this moment I know that it has paid off in spades," Christina said.

In her debut appearance in the silver screen, Christina Aguilera will portray a small town girl who performs in a burlesque club in Los Angeles. In Burlesque, Aguilera not only gets to showcase her acting abilities, but her musical talent as well. She wrote and sang four new songs for the movie's soundtrack.

Aguilera had won four Grammys and had come along way since her debut as a contemporary of pop singer Britney Spears.
