The mystery behind the enchanting beauty of Cindy Crawford is now unveiled. The 49-year-old beauty has spilled the beans about her graceful and youthful looks which seems to have not affected at all by the passing time.

In a recent interview with Violet Gray for a new photo shoot for The Violet Files, the American model confessed that 'there is no secret' and the key lies in following the rules of thumb for a healthy life, which everybody knows. Here are the excerpts of the interview of the American beauty sharing her skin and hair care routine:

  • In the words of Crawford, "Don't smoke, get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, find what makes you happy". These are the basic rules follow for a flawless skin.
  • Basic skin care routine should be followed consistently every day and night. Using SPF Cream and cleanser is a must. Crawford also uses a night cream, eye cream and Crème de Serum every night before hitting the sack.
  • The key is to follow this ritual consistently as early in life as possible. Results will not appear immediately, but will definitely pay off at a later stage in life.
  • Keeping your self-esteem high is very important as well. Accept the fact that one will not look the same as in the earlier stages of life. Crawford even recalled how in her modeling days, it was not necessary to be a size zero to become a successful model.
  • Hair care is equally important as the hair also changes texture and loses its shine with time. As shared by the American iconic beauty, she does not wash and dry it every day. Instead, she sleeps while pinning it up, so her hair won't get entangled into a mess.

During the late 1980s and 1990s, Cindy Crawford had been amongst the most popular super models, as well as a common presence in numerous runway fashion shows and fashion magazine covers. Astonishingly pretty, the 5 feet and 9 inches tall model is famously known for a mole just above her lips. She then had it removed from her modeling pics. However, the mole ironically became a beauty fad.

The mother of two still looks stunning in her recent photo shoot as reported by E!News. The model can still give the young breed a run for their money as she looked absolutely flawless in the pictures. Crawford will turn 50 next year, and will mark her milestone through a book that she aims to use to share memories from her modeling days and other important life occasions, as told in the exclusive interview.
