Former pornographic actress Jenna Jameson has been arrested for battery as she was en route to her advance birthday celebration on Saturday. The 38-year-old was put under citizen's arrest by her alleged victim until the cop arrived.

Jameson, who was once touted as the Queen of Porn, battered an unnamed individual while she was in a private home in Balboa Beach, California,a little before 8pm. The alleged victim put the ex-XXX actress under citizen's arrest before flagging down a police officer. Jameson was then arrested and cited for battery.

She was released in the same night on her own recognisance.

Lt. Evan Sailor from the Newport Beach Police Department told celebrity website omg! that she was given a court date, but it still remains to be seen if she will face charges. He added that the alleged victim required "no medical treatment."

Jameson, whose actual birthday is on April 9, was scheduled to attend her "official birthday" party at the Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim. It wasn't known if she still made it after she was released.

This isn't her first time to be arrested. She was also arrested in May 2012 for a DUI after her hitting her Range Rover into a light pole in California.

It was discovered that she had a blood alcohol level of .13, had prescription drugs in her system, and was driving on a suspended license. She pleaded guilty to DUI, and was given $340 fine and sentenced to three years of informal probation.

It isn't clear if her recent arrest will affect her probation.
