At different ages, actresses Clare Bowen, Naya Rivera, Jennifer Morrison, and Christa Miller appear to have nothing in common other than their choice of profession. But coming together in a photo shoot for Allure magazine, they discovered that all have confidence to go nude in front of a camera.

In the Naked Truth section of the U.S. glossy, the four TV stars only have their hands and hair to cover their modesty as they go totally nude.

Fans are sure to see a different side of Jennifer, 34, who has never done a nude scene before. She was always either wearing a white lab coat on the now defunct "House," or a red leather jacket on "Once Upon a Time." It doesn't mean that she was opposed to the idea of going au naturale in a photo shoot, though.

"It hasn't been a conscious choice, but they don't really come my way," she said in the interview when asked why she has never done a nude scene before. "Maybe this shoot will change that. I've always been an active person, and working out is part of my life."

"Glee" star Naya, 26, was even excited to go through the shoot.

"I'm excited to see it - and it's going to be available to the world."

She wasn't always confident, though. She admitted being self-conscious in the past, especially when she donning a skin-tight Hooters waitress uniform.

"When I was working there, I was really skinny - a lot skinnier than I am now. But I was always self-conscious," she said. Still, "you can't be so hard on yourself that you're not enjoying every day."

Australian export Clare, who currently stars in the musical drama "Nashville" in the U.S., isn't bothered by the imperfections in her body. In fact, she wished that the readers would be able to see her scars in the picture.

"This isn't a rite-of-passage thing or a risqué thing. It's about body image and making other people feel good."

For the "Cougar Town" star, it took her two weeks of preparation for her first fully nude shoot. At 48 with three children, Christa can give her younger peers a run for their money with her toned body. She admitted being nervous for the shoot, though, and even picked a fight with her husband, TV producer Bill Lawrence, to get rid of nerves.

Meanwhile, the magazine's cover girl of the month, Amanda Seyfried, didn't get nude for the photo shoot. She talked about her body insecurities, though. At 27, the "Les Miserables" actress is slimmer and firmer, but she's not entirely too happy about it.

Once referring to her breasts in an interview as "sacks of fat," Amanda now laments their reduced size.

"Actually, I saw a picture a couple of days ago from when I was 19, and my boobs were way bigger," she told the magazine. "They were a D, and now they're a small C, because I lost weight. There was something so beautiful about the size of them. When I look back, I'm like, 'Why did I always give myself such a hard time?'"

Amanda is set to play Linda Lovelace in a biopic about her life. She said that playing the part made her see her body in a positive way.

"Maybe this is backwards, but because she found the power in herself and in her body at a point, it made me feel comfortable in my own skin in a way that I hadn't been. I've got parts of me that I wish were tighter, but I don't kill myself, because it's not worth it."
