'Clash Royale': Northern Arena Clash of the North Nov. 12 and 13 event overview
"Clash Royale" will return to the Northern Arena in Montreal, Canada, on Nov. 12 for its Live Qualifiers at the Meltdown Bar, and on Nov. 13 for its Live Finals at the Bell Centre.
"Clash Royale" Custom Tournament mode format will be used in the Live Qualifiers and the Ladder Challenge format for the Live Finals. The Ladder Challenge format will give players up to three strikes (one per lost) before being eliminated.
The Live Qualifiers is a one-hour long tournament, taking place on an in-game tournament room. Players are expected to be present on the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the event. Live Finals players are expected to be present on the venue at least one hour before the start of the event.
Eight players competing in the Live Finals will have a chance to compete against four "Clash Royale" kings. The player with four wins will bring home US$1000 (AU$1304) while the player with three wins will earn US$500 (AU$652). Players with one to two wins will also earn cash prize of US$50 ($65) and US$200 ($260) respectively.
Players must bring their own iOS or Android device with a legal copy of "Clash Royale." They must use their in-game ID submitted upon registration.
The organiser will only provide Android phone chargers and iPhone chargers, and will not loan any other material to the players. In the case of a missing or inoperative device, the organiser will not delay the start of the match.
Online players must be based in North America to qualify for the Live Finals.
