Class Wins Over Trash: Jennifer Lawrence Tips Miley Cyrus to Win Entertainer of The Year
Move over Miley Cyrus, we have Jennifer Lawrence. The 23-year-old "Hunger Games" actress has tipped the "Wrecking Ball" songstress to become the Entertainer Of the Year in a recent survey conducted by a media agency. But "Smilers" don't lose heart, for Lawrence surpassed Miley by just one vote!
The Associated Press conducted an annual survey of its newspaper, broadcast members and subscribers for Entertainer of the Year 2013 and came out with this shocking result. The U.S. editors and news directors submitted a total of 70 ballots to vote for the entertainer of the year. Lawrence bagged a total of 15 votes and Miley came in second by 14 votes. Maybe some "Hunger Games" fan in the audience?
It comes as a surprise that Miley, the most controversial singer did not win the coveted title, as she has been the most talked about person in the year 2013. In her own words, Miley "created history" when she twerked her way up to "Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke's crotch at the MTV Video Music Awards in August. Miley remained in news the entire year because of her latex bikini, semi nude dresses she wore to various award functions and her wild child behaviour at various occasions, especially when she smoked a joint on stage at the MTV Awards again!
Jennifer Lawrence on the other hand followed Miley and even chopped off her hair to the same length which Miley did. She kicked off 2012 with winning an Academy Award for best actress and remained in news for her hit movie franchise as "The Hunger Games." She plays the character of a very emotional Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games Catching Fire" and the year 2013 ended on a happy note for the "American Hustle" actress who is not only nominated for Golden Globe Awards but also for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Do you think Jennifer Lawrence's win means class always wins over trash? Miley should probably learn from Lawrence that to remain in news it not really necessary to shed clothes every time. What are your views?
