Cleveland Kidnap Victims Break Silence On Ariel Castro's Suicide: Twitter Reactions [PHOTOS/VIDEOS]

It's the disgusting and unexpected ending to one of the most heinous crime cases of the year: Ariel Castro was pronounced dead at 10:52 pm Tuesday night, after serving only 34 days of his life plus 1,000 year imprisonment for the kidnapping and sexual assault of Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight, and Gina DeJesus over the course of a decade. Castro abducted three girls from Clevelandon following dates:

Amanda Marie Berry went missing on April 21, 2003, one day before her 17th birthday
Michelle Knight disappeared on August 22, 2002, after leaving a cousin's house
Georgina "Gina" Lynn DeJesus went missing at age 14

According to CNN, Coroner Dr. Jan Gorniak told that 52 years old Ariel Castro hanged himself with a bed sheet; Castro was being held at the Correctional Reception Centre in Orient. The Cuyahoga County prosecutor commented on Castro's suicide: "These degenerate molesters are cowards," Timothy J. McGinty said. "... This man couldn't take, for even a month, a small portion of what he had dished out for more than a decade."

Castro was arrested on May 6, 2013.On July 26, 2013, Castro pleaded guilty to 937 criminal counts

139 counts of rape
177 counts of kidnapping,
2 counts of attempted murder

On August 1, 2013, Castro was sentenced to life imprisonment, plus 1,000 years. The court imposed a fine on Castro of $100,000 and ordered his property seized and forfeited to the Cuyahoga County government.

Does anybody else feel like he was a coward ? The man who held three women captive in his home for nearly a decade has been in prison for less than a year just committed suicide.It's a slap to the face for his victims and no matter how society looks at it he will never get to pay for his crimes. After everything he put those women through, Castro couldn't handle being imprisoned.

Victims of Ariel Castro's violence have expressed "mixed feelings" about his suicide in prison.

Amanda Berry helped free the victims On May 6, 2013 by breaking the door and called out to help. Berry has not yet commented on Castro's death.

Gina DeJesus' aunt Jackie Figaro Roman reportedly admitted that her niece and Michelle Knight were going through a "mixture of emotions" when told of their former abductor's suicide. Gina's mother Nancy is no longer exasperated with Castro rather Nancy pities Castro.

"Gina is a little confused. We are trying to protect her because we have to remember, she was a 14-year-old girl (when she was kidnapped)," "But Gina and Michelle won't have to think about him because he's not around anymore."

"Nancy probably feels bad for him," said Jackie in an interview with MailOnline, adding, "We have a very strong, spiritual family and so does Ariel Castro. She doesn't care about him, she's just happy her daughter is home. She doesn't feel any anger."

His death is not a punishment, rotting in a cell would have been the worst, apparently he tried to control his victims one last time and deny them justice.
