Qantas Socceroos coach Holger Osieck announces the final team line up of 23 players for this season that will lead the team to victory for the upcoming International Friendly Matches. The new roster will hold its debut on the field this coming June 5th against New Zealand and on June 7th opposing Serbia.

The squad will be lead by Lucas Neill along with the twelve players who all took part in defeating Germany in a 2-1 game in Monchengladbach. Other players heading the team is pack Archie Thompson, who has played well in the past AFC Champions League, South Australia-based James Triosi , together with Dario Vidosic and Michael Zullo who both hail from Queensland.

For the goalie positions, Adam Federici and Nathan Coe are set to replace the legacy left by Mark Schwarzer, who is resting out the season because of injury. Japanese-based kickers Alex Brosque, Mark Milligan, Matthew Spiranovic, and Josh Kennedy join the team this year after impressive performances in the recently-held Asian Cup. Rhys Williams returns after successfully battling a groin injury that prevented him to play at the 2010 World Cup.

Completing the Qantas Socceroos squad are Brett Holman and Michael Zullo from the Netherlands, Mile Jedinak, Neil KilKennuy, Robbie Kruse, Mitchell Langerak, Matthew McKay, Jonathan McKain, Mark Milligan, Sasa Ognenovski, Italian Carl Valeri and Russian Luke Wilshire.

For the second time ever, the Qantas Socceroos will go against the highly-capable Serbian team who currently places 16th in the FIFA world rankings. But before that, the Socceroos will battle its age-old nemesis New Zealand, and will try to maintain its 37-win advantage on their scheduled match sponsored by the South Australian Government on Sunday.

Both games will be aired via satellite by Fox Sports with the Australia versus New Zealand match kicking off at 5:00 PM ACST (5:30 AEST). For ticket information, visit www.footballaustralia.com.au/tickets or call Ticketek at 132 849.
