The "Jelena" reunion has caused quite the controversy with Selena's friends saying one negative comment to the next. However, for Justin's friends, his reconciliation with Selena Gomez has obviously done him well. One close friend of Bieber, Cody Simpson says that Gomez has indeed been a "great influence" on Bieber.

With one deleted Instagram post to another, it's complicated enough to assume that things are all and well between Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. Both stars had allegedly met up in Oslo for a quick meet but Gomez's close friends claim it was simply Selena's way of showing her support.

"Selena was apparently so worried that she flew to Norway to 'talk things through with him and be there for him," explained the source, adding, "Selena has always felt like she knows Justin better than anyone, and that she sees a side of him that no one sees. They are not back together, but she is watching out for him."

For one, Selena's friends and fans aren't entirely pleased with the reconciliation but Justin's friends are singing another song. Cody Simpson, the Australian singer who opens up Justin's countless concerts, has spoken up on the "Jelena" duo and claimed that the reunion has caused a positive effect on Bieber.

"She's always been a great influence on him," stated Cody, adding, "She's amazing every time I've met her when I'm with him. She's a super sweet girl."

"I'm happy for them," concluded Simpson.

Obviously, Cody does have a point about the influence Selena has on Justin. If "Beliebers" opened their eyes to the truth, ever since the "Jelena" split, Justin has fallen trap to one controversy to the next. Yet, since the "Jelena" reunion, Bieber has been spotted out of trouble save for the "weed incident on his tour bus" and another brawl with the paparazzi.

Still, Selena's sweet and calming persona does have quite the effect on Justin. Judging from how things are going on in Justin's career, the 19-year old Canadian crooner could use more of that. Hopefully, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber manage to work out issues this time around and that the "Jelena' couple lasts longer than expected.
