Columbia College Hollywood is teaming up with James Franco to offer an editing class that would produce a half-hour documentary based on footage from Oscar-nominated actor's varied film career.

The school is based in Tarzana, California and will offer the course, called “Master Class: Editing James Franco ... With James Franco,” to 12 students. Classed will be led by the actor's editor Tyler Danna with Franco talking to the students via Skype and attending weekly sessions when his schedule permits.

Franco is no stranger to academics.He has an MFA from Columbia and is currently a Ph.D student in English at Yale. He will be hosting this year's Academy Awards on February with Anne Hathaway.

In addition to acting, Franco is also a film director, screenwriter, film producer, author, and painter.
