Arnold Schwarzenegger teased the plot of his forthcoming movie “Conan the Conqueror.” According to the actor, the story will be about an aged Conan sitting on his throne, while some people plan to overthrow him.

According to a report by Birth Movies Death, Schwarzenegger revealed the details about the plot of the movie at a Q&A session in Edinburg, Scotland. “I’m sitting on the throne for years and years — decades, and then all of a sudden, the time comes when they want to overthrow me. So that story will be told and that movie will be done,” he said at the event.

This appears to be different from what was previously told about the movie. The plot previously revolved around an aged king Conan leaving his throne and going into the mountains, only to be called back to the kingdom because of something “hideous and unbelievable.”

Schwarzenegger’s recent revelation points to possible revisions to the plot of the movie and a possible new story altogether. Despite the changes in the script, the actor is all set to return as the sword wielding hero.

According to Heroic Hollywood, Schwarzenegger said at the same event that he now feels physically fit and is ready to play Conan once again. When you stay in shape, you do turn back the clock, so I feel great and the last few movies that I’ve done, I’ve done many of my own stunts. I did all the physical stuff and it didn’t wipe me out and I have plenty of energy and feel really terrific,” he said.

The actor is ready to go horseback riding and film sword fights for his forthcoming movie. Schwarzenegger will be playing the role after over two decades. He was last seen playing the role in the 1984 movie “Conan the Destroyer.”

The 2011 franchise reboot movie “Conan the Barbarian” with Jason Momoa in the lead role did not do so well at the box office. Fans are hoping that the return of Schwarzenegger as Conan may help revive the franchise.
