Conan O'Brien appears on The Jim Kimmer Morning Show for new show
Conan O'Brien returns tonight with a new show on TBS, nine and a half months since his departure from NBC. More than ever, Team Coco is determined to bring in a massive audience for its pilot episode with an all out-campaign mere hours before the show airs.
O'Brien went on the The Jimmy Kimmer Morning Show saying that now was the time to pilot telecast his new show.
"It's now or never. "t's time to run our own show and make it as irritating as we want," Conan told Jim Kerr on WAXQ (104.3 FM) Monday morning.
Ratings will surely be critical for O'Brien's new show as TBS estimates that about 4 million audience will tune in tonight. In his show in NBC, O'Brien averaged 2.6 million a night, which is pretty low as compared to Jay Leno's current average at 3.64 million viewers in the contested time slot.
Seth Rogen (Get Him to the Greeks, Knocked Up) and Glee lead actress Lea Michele will be tonight's guest. How much audience with their interview with Conan O'Brien draw tonight? If Conan could draw his 2 million followers on Twitter, he has something to build on. Add to that, Lea Michele has been recently involved in controversy surrounding her GQ photoshoot, while Seth Rogen has a solid "geek" audience.
Meanwhile, an extended cut of Conan O'Brien's advertisement for American Express has recently been released on YouTube. Watch Conan O'Brien as he journeys to India in "his quest to perfect every last detail for an upcoming performance."
"If you're as serious about entertainment as Conan is, every detail counts," said American Express.
Well, fans surely hopes that tonight's pilot episode for Conan O'Brien's new show will be perfect in every detail, because it will certainly count.
